Kushaan ShahKushaan is a junior at the University of Maryland studying Operations Management and Marketing. He has been actively involved with the America Reads Initiative as a Reading mentor and currently serves as the Executive Vice President for the Indian Students Association at Maryland. In the past, he has tutored at the Centronia Bilingual Charter School and participated in various service opportunities through the TerpCorps service-learning program. He enjoys freelance writing and blogging in his free time. He is excited to share inspirational stories and motivate youth to contribute to their own communities through Volunteen Nation.
Sruti PrathivadhiSruti is a senior at Millard North High School. She likes to volunteer her time at Lakeside Hospital, the Lydia House, Habitat for Humanity, Douglas Health Center, and with the Keep Omaha Beautiful program. Moreover, she works as an online content manager for Greening Forward, and with Student Voice as an intern. She enjoys learning about medicine, government, economics, and philosophy. In the future, she aspires to pursue a career in the field of medicine, with a possible minor in journalism. Mandy MorganMandy is a senior at Missouri State University studying Professional Writing and Journalism. She is a member of the executive board for R.E.A.L. Bears, an organization oriented on maintaining strong relationships between students and alumni at Missouri State University. She enjoys networking opportunities and welcoming alumni throughout the year. She plans to attend graduate school at Missouri State University, hoping to receive a master’s in Professional Writing and freelance her articles to magazines. He is currently one of 30 commitment mentors worldwide for President Clinton’s Clinton Global Initiative University and a Scholar with Opportunity Nation working on public policy to increase social and economic mobility in America. He enjoys the intersection of philanthropy, community, and government. He aspires to attend law school some day, but, in the meantime is excited to share his thoughts with you on empowering youth.
