Emily Lundberg

Emily is a 15 year-old writer from southern California. She has interned for companies such as Radical Parenting, Arklu Toy Company, and blurrbook among others. She is also an American College Foundation honor student and spends many weekends volunteering at her local animal shelter. At school she is part of a program that tutors elementary students and loves encouraging children to find interest in their studies. She hopes to one day start a communications company where she can mentor her own team of young interns. In the meantime, she is thrilled to be serving you by helping to provide new volunteer opportunities.

Lauren Pinkston

Lauren is a sophmore at Dominican University studying Journalism and Fashion Merchandising. She is a Communications Intern for VolunTeen Nation and is a staff writer and editor for the Dominican Star Newspaper where she enjoys writing about philanthropic events and oportunities on campus and in the community. Lauren strives to spread the spritit of volunteerism and compassion to her local community through her writing. In the future she hopes to earn a Masters degree in journalism to eductate honest and professional journalists.

Joseph Russell

Joseph is a junior at the University of Tampa studying International Business with a minor in Spanish (also working towards his proficiency certificate in Mandarin Chinese). In the fall he will be studying abroad at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain, and could not be more excited for this experience. While waiting for study abroad he'll be happy spending his summer working with VolunTEEN nation to help strengthen our local communities and help youth find great volunteer opportunities. 

Hannah Moyles

Hannah will be entering Duke University as a freshman in the fall of 2013 to pursue psychology and public policy. She is the founder of From Ewe to You, a charity created to aid the disadvantaged in her community and across the nation. She was one of 252 Coca-Cola Class of 2013 Scholars. She has teamed up with many community organizations to raise awareness about the needs of her community. Hannah’s greatest passion lies in educating others, especially her peers, about the importance of civic engagement and service. She is currently working on developing an organization for the youth of today geared towards social change and human rights. She is excited to share her experiences and give advice on how to empower youth.

Katie Gardner

Katie Gardner is a 13-year-old eighth grader from Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is a member of the Duke University Talent Identification Program, Gifted & Talented Program, Honor Roll, FCA, Track, and her school dance team.  She is also on a competitive dance team and enjoys singing.  She is currently Miss Lights of the Delta’s Outstanding Teen and will be competing for the title of Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen in July 2013.  She is a member of 4-H where she serves as a County Council 4-H Officer and County 4-H Ambassador.  She serves as State and County Fair Ambassador, the 2013 Junior Arkansas Beef Ambassador, and the founder of Blessing Others with Service (aka BOWS), a platform that encourages performers to get involved in nursing homes by performing and entertaining nursing home residents.  She also devotes time volunteering for Veterans, political campaigns, recycling programs, and many other 4-H service projects.
