Klaryssa PangilinanKlaryssa is in her first year of university at Corpus Christi College at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver where she is studying business. As an active member in her community, Klaryssa is a regular volunteer with the Delta Parks and Recreation Program where she has volunteered her time and efforts at various events and summer camps. Since the age of 5, Klaryssa has been performing at local seniors homes and is blessed to be able to share her love of music to those around her. As past Student Council Prime Minister at her high school, she has enjoyed organizing both school and community events, including 5km runs to support local cancer foundations and looks forward to the opportunities to get involved in University. Klaryssa hopes to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce and to continue striving towards making the world a better place.
Erikka OlsonErikka is a junior at Burlington-Edison High School in Burlington, Washington. She is an active member of her school Art Club, Key Club, Peer Mentor Program, and National Honors Society. She serves as the Vice President as well as Communications Director of her high school DECA chapter, a club dedicated to leadership, social responsibility, and business. She enjoys working to increase environmental awareness in her community, and volunteers with many organizations such as the Skagit Stream Team, a group dedicated to monitoring local water quality. She recently attended a Youth Leadership & Environmental Summit in Costa Rica, and has returned with many ideas to increase environmentally focused volunteer programs in her community by combining her passions of art and nature. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, photography, and learning languages.
Joselyn BustillosJoselyn is an Hispanic American from Phoenix, AZ. She is excited to start her freshman year at Arizona State University. In high school she was involved in soccer, track, and the treasurer of Be A Leader club. She spends her time volunteering at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Volunteering at the hospital has made her more passionate for a future job as a nurse. She had the opportunity from Be A Leader to mentor high school seniors to get ready for college. She loved giving advice to other students. She loves musical movies. One of her all time favorite musical movies is Grease.
Kate is a freshman at Tipton-Rosemark Academy and resides in Munford, Tennessee. She enjoys initiating projects such as organizing a donation drive for personal care items to benefit patients and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also enjoys service work with organizations such as Jacob’s Well, Service Over Self and St. Mark’s Soup Kitchen. She is inspired by the words of John Wesley, “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can.” She wishes to engage teens in programs which will enable them to share with, learn from and assist others. She hopes to help those in her school and community develop a lifelong habit of service to others.
