Simone Bernstein

Simone graduated in May 2014 from St. Bonaventure University and was a Fulbright Scholar. She is currently in medical school at George Washington University Medical School. At the age of 17, Simone founded the nonprofit organization St Louis Volunteen.com. As an active volunteer in the community since the age of 12, she was frustrated with the lack of information and resources available for area youth that wanted to volunteer in the community. Simone and her brother Jake expanded the local site and co-founded VolunTEEN Nation, a comprehensive national organization for youth and families to find volunteer opportunities. Simone Bernstein was given the Jaffe Award, named one of Traditional Home's Classic Women, one of the 2013 Glamour Top 10 College Women, 2010 L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth, January 2011 Huffington Post Person of the Day, and listed on the 2012 Forbes 30 under 30 list.
