Klaryssa PangilinanKlaryssa is in her first year of university at Corpus Christi College at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver where she is studying business. As an active member in her community, Klaryssa is a regular volunteer with the Delta Parks and Recreation Program where she has volunteered her time and efforts at various events and summer camps. Since the age of 5, Klaryssa has been performing at local seniors homes and is blessed to be able to share her love of music to those around her. As past Student Council Prime Minister at her high school, she has enjoyed organizing both school and community events, including 5km runs to support local cancer foundations and looks forward to the opportunities to get involved in University. Klaryssa hopes to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce and to continue striving towards making the world a better place.
Kristy Nguyen is a senior at Pacifica High School. She loves the enrichment that education brings and enjoys studying a variety of subjects. As a result, she does not know whether she would like to explore the branch of Medicine, Education, Law, or Business. She is a founding member of two clubs, Friday Night Live and UNICEF. These two clubs have helped her gain leadership skills and have enabled her to utilize them to help other people in her community and across the world. From this journey, she has discovered that she would like to use her knowledge and leadership skills to hopefully do humanitarian work someday.
Krupa ModiKrupa Modi is a senior at Modesto High School in Modesto, California. She has been a part of her high school’s leadership class for 4 years, and will be spending her final year serving as ASB President! She is also involved in a number of school clubs and is co-president of a service club called The People Project. Krupa is passionate about a variety of causes, particularly girls’ education and healthcare in developing countries. She hopes to pursue a career in public health, and dreams of working with Doctors without Borders or the World Health Organization. Krupa enjoys giving back to the community and is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a VolunTEEN Nation Ambassador!
Kushaan ShahKushaan is a junior at the University of Maryland studying Operations Management and Marketing. He has been actively involved with the America Reads Initiative as a Reading mentor and currently serves as the Executive Vice President for the Indian Students Association at Maryland. In the past, he has tutored at the Centronia Bilingual Charter School and participated in various service opportunities through the TerpCorps service-learning program. He enjoys freelance writing and blogging in his free time. He is excited to share inspirational stories and motivate youth to contribute to their own communities through Volunteen Nation.
Kyra SeeleyKyra is a junior at Middlesex High School in New Jersey. She is the President of her class, Vice President of Middlesex High School Key Club, and founder of the DoSomething.org Club in her community. With her title of Miss North Jersey's Outstanding Teen, she is promoting her platform of Teen Volunteerism. Her goal is to get teens and young people volunteering and involved in their communities. In addition she is also a competitive Irish dancer. Kyra is thrilled to share opportunities with you getting involved in volunteering.
Laura SeamanLaura is a freshman at Truman State University from St. Louis, Missouri. She is a Communications major with an emphasis in Journalism and a minor in Theatre. She hopes to use this major to reach out to kids and teens around the country and help to make an impact in communities around the world through either radio or television. Her goal is to someday have her own radio or TV talk show and meet amazing people from around the world. She enjoys writing, reading, listening to music, west coast swing dancing, and spending time with her friends. Animal rights and anti-bullying are two causes close to her heart, and she hopes to help bring awareness to these causes and many others through her work. She wants to make her voice heard, and hopes to help other teens let their voices be heard, too!
Lauren is a sophmore at Dominican University studying Journalism and Fashion Merchandising. She is a Communications Intern for VolunTeen Nation and is a staff writer and editor for the Dominican Star Newspaper where she enjoys writing about philanthropic events and oportunities on campus and in the community. Lauren strives to spread the spritit of volunteerism and compassion to her local community through her writing. In the future she hopes to earn a Masters degree in journalism to eductate honest and professional journalists.
