Tara Harmon

Tara Harmon is an 11-year-old from Zionsville, Indiana. She is currently a 5th grader. Tara loves to help out in her community as much as possible. She understands that not everybody is as fortunate as her, and that she needs to help those people. Tara enjoys swimming, crafting, and baking. She is excited to find many other opportunities helping in her community.

Megan Foo

Megan is a high school junior from Hong Kong who is passionate about sustainable giving and nonprofit service. As the Global Outreach Director for VolunTEEN Nation, she hopes to promote sensitivity to global development and justice issues. A fervent advocate of women’s education, Megan is the founder of the Hong Kong chapter of Women LEAD, a nonprofit organization that focuses on empowering adolescent girls in Nepal to be leaders. Having been involved with philanthropic causes including raising funds for family violence intervention programs in Guatemala, campaigning against forced prostitution in the Congo, and blogging about the importance of educating girls, Megan is also the Chief Content Officer of Givology, an online giving marketplace that leverages dollar donations to fund grassroots education projects in developing communities. When not volunteering, Megan enjoys running cross country, traveling, and reading about issues in science and technology. Her favorite subjects are physics, mathematics and chemistry.

Alex Gu

Alex is a junior at St. Bonaventure University and an active volunteer in his college community. He enjoys volunteering as an Emergency Medical Technician on his college campus and in the neighboring community of Allegany. He is an active leader in many campus organizations and enjoys studying science in school. Alex volunteers with the Bona Buddies Science Program and prepares simple experiments for elementary school students throughout the year. Alex is excited about helping VolunTEEN Nation with its STEM service programs in urban and rural communities.

Sophie Bernstein

Sophie Bernstein is a rising eighth grade student in St. Louis, MO. Sophie's eagerness to help our neighbors have access to recreational sports activities was the spark to create Aces for All. She is an active participant in all volunTEENnation's sports clinics and volunteer events. She completed her Magic House volunteer orientation this spring and plans to volunteer at The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum this summer. Sophie just planted her first vegetable garden with a grant from Katie's Krops to grow and deliver fresh produce to local food banks to help feed the hungry in the St. Louis community.

Tyler Harmon

Tyler Harmon is a 14-year-old boy from Zionsville, Indiana. He will be an incoming freshman at Zionsville High School in the fall of 2013.  Tyler is kind hearted and loves to help other people. He also understands the value of hard work through both school, service projects, and competitive swimming.
