Intangible Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering could be one of the most nerve-wrecking experiences you have when you first start off. It is all about taking the first step. I believe the biggest satisfaction you can get from volunteering in the satisfaction that you have helping other people, but also in yourself.

Some of the benefits that I found most useful:

    • Self-satisfaction
    • Improve lives
    • Networking
    • High education

The intangible benefits that you attain are endless, but as you look back at your experiences, you are able to say that you were part of that.  There is no better feeling than knowing you did something great.  One of my favorite quotes that I refer to and something to think about as you begin your journey in community service is,

“Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.”
