Through part-time internships, it is easy to get involved in various non-profit organizations. These internships add structure to your volunteering and help you organize your time around your school work. The following 5 internships are for Fall 2013.
VolunTEEN Nation: Fall Communications Assistant

Children in Placement: Special Events Intern
Location: New Haven, CT

Description: Children in Placement is a non-profit organization, which creates programs for at-risk and abused youth in Connecticut. Your work hours will be very flexible (around 10 hours a week). You can work from home but attend regular meetings at the New Haven headquarters. The Special Events Intern will help oversee and coordinate the evening program for the fall. Gift of Life Donor Program: Community Relations Intern
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Description: This internship requires 16-25 hours a week for the Gift of Life Donor Program which recovers and distributes organs and tissues for transplants. College students who are majoring in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications would greatly benefit from this internship. You need writing and brainstorming skills to help with social media and press releases. Also, you must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, have experience with public speaking, and Spanish speaking abilities would be beneficial.
