VolunTEENnation.org is committed to supporting and empowering youth in being advocates for social change. Students (ages 13-22) from the United States going abroad to volunteer or study in a developing country are encouraged to apply for an international service-learning mini-grant. Our goal is to enhance the opportunity for youth to develop hands-on projects that meet local needs. Our program gives young Americans the opportunity to apply their knowledge, gain international work experience and develop skills in various sectors. We fund programs that foster good health, education, and economic self-sufficiency in developing countries. Examples of service-learning programs we have funded include sports diplomacy, HIV awareness campaigns and school and community vegetable gardens. If you are interested in applying, we request specific information about your service-learning project, its structure, expenses and its purpose. Please include your project concept, supplies needed, plans for implementation, and predicted outcomes.
If you receive and accept our grant we require you adhere to the program outlined in your original grant application and maintain regular communication with volunTEENnation.org. Grant recipients will also need to prepare and submit a final impact report. VolunTEENnation.org is devoted to educating, empowering, supporting and helping youth make a difference in the world. If you share the vision of a just world and are committed to working for peaceful, equitable and sustainable social change on international development issues apply for a volunTEENnation.org international service learning grant here.
